This song was written by the brilliant Andrew Joslyn who I asked to give me something for the record. He listened to Merseyside and came up with this very cool strings track. He played it all of course, he's beyond special. When I heard it I immediately thought "Southport" as to me it sounded working class and the meaning behind the title track. Well it's a city on the Merseyside. I certainly wasn't going to name it "Liverpool", way overdone! haha.

This is the only song on the record not written by myself and Rhesa and we are in good company with Andrew and honored.
