Sound the Bells

about

Have you ever seen an abandoned church? It's not just rotting wood losing it's battle with time. It's what it stood for, to be a place for families to get together and worship.

Those memories, they will not be forgotten. Those echoes in time sound loudly from that empty building. They reach out to the world asking you follow the Shepard to lead you to the same place.

There are no empty structures in heaven, they house the same love being held in that empty church, just waiting for you to join them one day on a hill far away.

lyrics

Sound the Bells
(Gentry/Siregar)

On a hilltop, high above the city
Sits an empty church where time stands still
Can you see the families all gathered
Years have passed but echos sound
Those memories, they will not be forgotten
We're born again, we're still alive

Lets sound the bells of Christmas
Lets hear the church bells ring, hear them ring
Sound the bells of Christmas

I see them walking, walking up the hillside
And I can see the Shepard standing on that Hill
Sound the bells on Christmas morning
From far away we hear the church bells ringing
Oh they sound throughout the ages and reach beyond the stars
And goes beyond the boundary of your heart

Can you see the little children playing
Hear them laugh, see them smile
The snow is falling on this Christmas morning
So full life, filled with love
Times may change but one things left in common
The church will live in Christ forever

Sound the bells of Christmas
Lets hear the church bells ring, hear them ring
Sound the bells of Christmas

I can see the Shepard standing on that hill
Sound the bells on Christmas morning
Far from away we hear the church bells ringing
Oh they sound throughout the ages and reach beyond the stars
and tolls beyond the boundaries of your heart
Oh they toll throughout the ages and reaches in your heart
and goes beyond the boundaries of the stars
