I consider Annabella, Boulevard part 2, yet it had to be different because it was a medley but again, it's the same street. That lady in a red dress from Boulevard was Annabella. I also wanted a bit of a Penny Lane theme going thus the references of Barber Shop and just walking along as queen of the world. Confidence in each stride.

Melodically it came to be pretty quickly and it may seem simple but it was far from such, it has chords not normally put in the same sequences. Even my engineer said, what the heck, how did you write this? He seemed surprised with my answer of "in my head" but I heard a Beatle like melody with changing chords. Penny Lane was also very difficult to write for Paul, not the expected.

So of course, Rhesa when he heard it was so excited, he thought it was the best thing since sugar taffy. He heard the complexity yet simpleness and he came up with the ending where we needed instrumental to tie it into Mister Barrister (song 3 of the medley). But it's also Beatles so we made it off the normal and his randomly playing his piano led to me thinking, we should add harp to that too cause I can see a harp player going crazy on the strings.

My brother who passed on in May of 2023 heard this song in March while I was there and even cried because he knew the enormous challenge we had met to write this short song. He grew up playing me the Beatles and his being moved meant the world to me and so glad I had this released and that he listened so extensively.
